FF7 Rebirth: How to craft Legendary Bait, Marlboro Tendril and Jabberwock Horn
When you return to Costa Del Sol before moving towards the Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll find a new batch of quests. Trouble In Paradise involves the poser merc Kyrie. She’s gotten into trouble with the local Mayor, and you need to not only take care of some monsters but her too.
Before you make that decision though, you need to craft Legendary Bait, and that’s easier said than done. It requires components from two incredibly rare and tough monsters, and even if fighting them isn’t a huge challenge, finding them can be. For everything you need to know to craft Legendary Bait and complete the Trouble In Paradise quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, just read through our instructions below.
How to craft Legendary Bait, components – FF7 Rebirth
The Legendary Bait requires four ingredients:
- Great Malboro Tendril x1
- Jabberwock Horn x1
- Pearl Ginger Root x5
- Ether Onion x5
Pearl Ginger Root and Ether Onions are common items that you can pick up from the ground, or while sailing in the Tiny Bronco. You will probably already have these in your inventory, but if you don’t, check for where they spawn in our FF7 Rebirth crafting materials guide.
The Great Malboro Tendril and Jabberwock Horn are items you can only acquire after defeating specific Classified Intel monsters – just scroll down for the breakdown on where to find them.
Great Malboro Tendril location – FF7 Rebirth
The Great Malboro is the Classified Intel fight in the Gongaga region, titled The Sultan of Stench. In order to unlock this World Intel battle you’ll need to have either scanned all of the Lifespring Crystals in this region or fought all of the Battle Intel objectives.
Once defeated, the Great Malboro will reward you with the Great Malboro Tendril. You can always replay the fight, even if you’ve defeated it once before.
Jabberwock Horn location – FF7 Rebirth
Like the Great Malboro, the Jabberwock is another Classified Intel monster, this time for the Cosmo Canyon region. It’s titled The Wyvern Awoken, and again, you’ll need to tackle Lifespring Crystals or Battle Intel fights in order to unlock it.
As with the Great Malboro, defeating the Jabberwock will grant you the Jabberwock Horn – which will hopefully be the last piece you need to craft the Legendary Bait.
Off-Limits Beach location – FF7 Rebirth
With the Legendary Bait in hand, you can now head to the Off-Limits Beach, which is entered from near the Fiend 1 World Intel, and place it on the buoy on the beach, summoning the monsters you need to finish off.
