The Nintendo Switch is the most popular portable video game console in the world.
As well as being handheld, the machine can also be used to play games on the television by using the Switch Dock.
It boasts a range of exclusive games from Nintendo, including Pokémon, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda series.
To date, the console has sold over 100 million units. It's so popular that the launch of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was the biggest exclusive game in sales ever. The next entry in the Legend of Zelda series, Tears of the Kingdom, is due to release for the Switch very soon.
Nintendo is known as the family-friendly video game and console creator, with many of its titles being safe for children to enjoy. The Nintendo Switch does, however, also feature a range of adult games from third-party studios.
Outside of the big Nintendo exclusives, you can play first-person shooters such as Doom and Wolfenstein on the console. These kinds of games are generally better in docked mode since the sticks on the factory Joy-Con controllers are small and prone to breaking.
The console has been plagued by an issue called Joy-Con drift, which is where the stick constantly inputs a direction, making it difficult to accurately aim or move in certain games.
